Yr 7 Homework and Revision task 1

Each stand-alone quiz is made up of 10 questions.

• Questions 1-5 are designed to build students' musical vocabulary, hardwiring a few fundamentals and enabling students to use specialist language when talking and writing about music.

• Questions 6 and 7 will develop students' confidence in reading and using musical notation. It's useful and it opens doors.

• Questions 8-10 connect musical language with musical understanding through sound - supporting students in getting better at hearing and thinking like a musician.

Ways in which the slide pack might be used:

• as a homework or revision task for KS3 students
• as part of a year 7 'listening and appraising' exam
• as part of a non-specialist cover lesson for KS3
