The ladder thingy isn't a scheme of work, it's a formative assessment tool to use within a scheme of work. It's a framework to map the development of students' musical skills as they rehearse, arrange, perform, improvise, compose, amend and refine their work. Formative and summative assessment materials for KS3

This pack of resources matches the DRET KS3 teaching materials that can be found under the KS3 teaching resources tag. Each resource is made up of a formative assessment ladder and a summative listening test. The listening test is designed to fit inside an hour-long lesson, with 5-10 minutes for the opening elements quiz, 15-20 minutes for the three listening questions, 15-20 minutes to mark and discuss, and 5-10 minutes review time.
